Recently House of Fraser at Bluewater has put up a concession for the brand 'The Ordinary'. Due to so many people raving about their products being amazing and the fact that they're so cheap I thought I'd give it a go. I will be doing a break down of all the products and let you know my thoughts on them!
Coverage Foundation - Shade 2.0N
This is one of the two foundations that the brand sell. The foundation claims to be high-coverage and is SPF15. I completely agree that the foundation is high-coverage, I recently have been having some redness to my skin and you cannot see that when I have the foundation on; also, the freckle under my nose is not visible and that is how I decide if a foundation is full coverage or not. The foundation isn't a matte finish but it isn't too glowy, I would say that it is somewhere inbetween. It also lasts ALL day - I had my foundation on for abut 10 hours before it only just began to come off around my nose, so I'm very happy about that. I love this foundation, I would say it is my favourite foundation right now.
High-Adherence Silicone primer
AMAZING. This primer is probably the best primer that I have ever used. My face doesn't feel greasy at all when I have this primer on, my skin also feels soft and plump!
Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
This moisturiser basically is meant to hydrate skin, especially after using serums and acids. Personally, I feel this works for me however I know a lot of people have really struggled to get on with this product. My skin feels hydrated and any dry patches that I have are clearing up.
Alpha Lipoic Acid 5%
This acid claims to target signs of ageing and you should only use 2-3 times per week. I haven't really got signs of ageing but I read somewhere that you should start on that sort of stuff pretty young so I thought I would give it a go. The only thing I don't like about this product is the smell. It really smells like latex balloons. YUCK.
Salicylic Acid 2% Solution
I think this is basically witch hazel. In my experience it just dries out any blemishes I have. I would say to be prepared for your skin to hurt when you start using this, as this happened to me, but you will get used to it.
Overall, I think The Ordinary is an amazing brand, with skincare that have high end ingredients for a low end price. I recommend to everyone.
